The £40 charge is simply to cover the day's expenses. Although our budget is tight we don’t want anyone to feel prevented from coming due to cost. We warmly invite you to join us for another Day of Encouragement at St Mellitus College. As usual this is a day for women and, whilst we welcome any woman  who would like to come, it is particularly suitable for those over 55.  This year we are delighted that Kate Patterson will be our speaker.  Our theme will be TAKE HEART from John 16:33

Kate Patterson is a speaker, writer and lecturer who opens up the deep truths of Scripture and God's invitation to bless us and to make us a blessing in a world that needs it. Having faced the sudden loss of her husband and her home, Kate speaks from her own experience of finding comfort and hope. She is Director of Gift of Blessing Trust and author of The Promise of Blessing and Living for Eternity.  

The day will also include time for worship, reflection, prayer and quiet and, of course, lunch.   We do hope you will join us. If you know someone who you feel would benefit from the day, please invite them.  We want to provide a relaxed, loving and safe space to meet old friends and make new ones.

We will serve coffee from 10.30 am with the main programme running from 11 am until 3 pm to enable some of those travelling by train to buy a cheaper ticket and avoid overcrowded trains.

Please remember to let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements as we won’t be able to accommodate requests on the day.
